contain gases and particulate down into the
chamber. Fumes and
gases can be easily exhausted and fine particulate
can be filtered.

STANDARD DOWN
DRAFT TABLES
- Used to
contain and exhaust heavier than air
gasses: The Down Draft Table takes
advantage of the differences in air density to let
the heavier than air gases to fall into the trough,
where it can be easily contained and exhausted.
This containment can be achieved with as low as 40
Feet Per Minute (FPM) downward velocity.
- Used to
contain and exhaust lighter
than air gases: The Down Draft Table
also works well with lighter than air gases such as
Ether, as high as 20" above the perforated work
surface. This containment can be achieved
with as low as 70 FPM downward velocity.
- Used to
contain and exhaust fine
particulate and powders: The Down Draft
Table also works exceptionally well to capture
producing procedures where they can be contained and
exhausted. A three-sided wing wall can be
added to help contain this particulate.
HEPA FILTERED
DOWN DRAFT TABLES
- The HEPA Filtered Down
Draft Table can provide a 99.99% efficient capture
of particles, as small as 0.3 microns in size, as it
draws the air down through the perforated top into
the HEPA filtered recirculation fan system.
- The HEPA Filtered Down
Draft Table re-circulates room air thus saving
energy and improving room air quality.
